What do I do once I find a home tutor ?
Once you have selected a home tutor or online tutor that may be fit for you, go through their reviews and profile carefully and contact us. Also, you can note down the list of questions you may like to ask such as the background of the teacher, teaching style, hours of availability, where the tutoring will take place, references, teaching experience, tutoring fees, etc.
Once you are satisfied with the tutor, contact us to schedule a free one-to-one trial class with the tutor for home tuition's. -
Will I get a demo/trial class before I commit to full-time tuition ?
Yes, once we have selected a perfect home tutor or online tutor for you or your child that matches your tuition requirement, we will organize a free demo/trial session with the tutor at your preferred location. If you like the trial/demo session and if you want to continue with the same teacher then He will collect the first-month tuition fee in advance. In case, If you do not like the demo/trial session, you will schedule a new other tutor.

Do you verify your home tutors listed on your website ?
Tutorbase is committed to providing you only the best home/online tutor. To ensure this, our teachers go through a very stringent process. Only one in eight tutors who apply make it on to our platform and you can choose the best match for your child. We Judge the tutors on their merits alone. We employ only Full-Time Tutors and conduct reference checks (qualification and experience) on all our tutors so you can choose them with confidence. However, to ensure more safety, parents are advised to take ID proof and Address proof of the tutor before hiring them.

Where does the tutoring take place ?
If you are taking In-person tutoring, it will take place at parent’s home. If the person being tutored is under 18, it is strongly suggested that a parent/guardian is present during the tutoring sessions for safety reasons. If you are taking online classes, it will be done through an efficient online system.

Do I need to pay the tuition fee in advance ?
Tutor take first-month tuition fee in advance or the tutor is paid after the mid or monthly sessions are over. He will issue the receipt of the fee paid to you as well as to the tutor. This brings us a commitment from both sides. We do not support or encourage any direct payment to tutor, as that could lead to a potential fraud and we do not take any responsibility for such payments.

How can I make the payment of tuition fee ?
You can pay through any mode directly to the teacher or TuitionCenter we do not have any concern with it.

Is my money safe ?
Yes, the fee paid by you is safe and secure with tutor. He will issue the receipt of the fee paid to you.

What if I do not like the trial/Demo class ?
In case, if you do not like the trial/demo class, we will arrange again new home tutors/ online tutors for you that matches your tuition requirement.

What if the tutor discontinued the tuition classes in between ?
Once the tuition classes begin, if you want to change the tutor, either we will find a new tutor for you that matches your tuition requirement or Tutor will refund the balance amount of month tuition fee paid by you after deducting the money for tuition classes already taken.

What is the payment mode for tuition fees?
Payment method for tuition fee is Based on mutual understanding between tutor/tuition center and the tutor.

Can I have an ID proof of home tutor for verification purposes ?

Are hourly prices mentioned on TutorBase, negotiable?
Broadly No. However, if you have more than one student or plan to engage the tutor for higher number of hours at a stretch, you can ask for a little discount. It is soleley at the discretion of the tutor.

Is there a limit on the trial classes?
No. You can take as many trial classes as your package allow. Please note that each package has an expiry date and you cannot schedule trial classes after expiry date

Why are you charging me for the trial class?
It is an investment of time and effort for the tutor to take the trial class. To discourage unnecessary trial requests, we have kept a nomial fee for trials.

Will the tutor give additional time for discussion after the trial class?
45 minutes of trial class includes any discussion with parent etc. Please respect tutor's time and limit your total engagement to 60 minutes.

Do I need to pay anything to TutorBase after I select a tutor?
No. You can pay to the tutor directly.

Can I pay the tuition fee after the month is over?
Please speak to your tutor and clarify this. Most of the tutors are more comfortable with weekly payments. We discounrage giving any advance payment for tuitions.

Is it safe to trust a stranger with my kid?
TutorBase is a marketplace connecting tutors and parents. We do not guarantee the suitability of a tutor, either explicitly or implicitly. The choice of tutor, keeping in mind the safety and security of your child, is yours alone. Notwithstanding the above, it is strongly recommended that you to talk to your ward regularly and take feedback about the tutor.
